Imperial Palace - Las
Vegas is an interesting place to visit, with the shows and sites,
but if you're not into gambling, maybe do it once a decade. The
Imperial Palace was in the main drag, and the rooms were decent,
even if the bed sheets and covers were pretty wild in coloration and
pattern. Bay To Beach Resort - a nice place to stay in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. Great accommodations, right up on the beach. Excellent for walks, shell collecting and swimming.
Sheraton Broadway Plantation at Myrtle Beach. Near the
beach as well as other attraction such as the Broadway at the Beach,
Dolly
Parton's Dixie Stampede, NASCAR Go-cart Tracks,
Captain Dick's
Saltwater Marsh Adventure, etc.

Columbus Zoo - we're members
and visit at least a half-dozen times a year. A pretty well laid out
zoo with an interesting selection of animals. National Museum of the United States Air Force - an interesting place filled with aircraft from the Sopwith Camel biplane to the B-2 Bomber and all those in between. They've recently added a section with ICBMs and other ballistic missiles.
Ohio Caverns - a great
little guided adventure. Maybe not for the claustrophobic.
Interesting formations to view and underground experience. It has a
nice and not overly expensive gift shop and also a picnic area. |
| Places not so Close to Home |
Georgia Aquarium -
an
excellent place to view some interesting and even some exotic
aquatic life, from fresh water to ocean critters of all sorts.

here for Pictures. Hocking Hills State Park - if you like the outdoors and hiking, these trails and caves are definitely something you'd want to explore. Toledo Museum of Art - a nice midsized museum with an array of art, from ancient Greek and Egyptian art (and mummy) to modern glass exhibits. |
